Abstract

Se describe un método y una aparato para reducir, en las señales de comunicacion recibidas por una red local a partir de una red lejana (señales lejanas), el contenido de energía que se puede atribuir a los ecos de las señales transmitidas en la red local (señales cercanas). Esto se logra, en parte, al generar una señal de plantilla variable con el tiempo que representa el contenido de energía suavizado de las señales cercanas retrasadas de acuerdo con la ruta del eco y atenuadas con una pérdida de transmision de eco, estimada. Un procesador no lineal pasa la señal lejana sustancialmente sin atenuacion si excede la plantilla, pero atenua la señal lejana si está situada dentro de un intervalo definido por abajo de plantilla.
