Abstract

A partir de partículas de poliolefina preespumadas de alta densidad deben elaborarse cuerpos moldeados con una mínima densidad. Esto se logra con ayuda de un procedimiento en que se utilizan partículas de poliolefina que se han encogido teniendo de hasta un 30 a un 95% de su volumen original, y que se tratan por tiempo suficiente a una temperatura de por lo menos 20 degree C por debajo de la temperatura de reblandecimiento con un gas inerte, aplicando una presion sobreatmosférica de 0.2 a 10 bares, durante lo cual las partículas así tratadas se llevan en un molde mientras que se conserva en alta medida la presion interna, para someterse a espumado. Los campos de aplicacion de las partículas moldeadas así elaboradas de densidad sumamente baja, son entre otros, el área de las empaquetaduras, así como los cojines blandos en los recintos interiores de vehículos motorizados.
