Abstract
Un proceso continuo para prepar sulfonatos de alquil gliceril éteres alcoxilatados, el cual comprende reaccionar, en presencia de agua, una mezcla de un sulfito y bisulfito de metal alcalino con una mezcla de glicidil éteres alcoxilatados que comprenden una cantidad principal de un compuesto de Formula (I); en donde: R es alquilo o alquenilo de alrededor de ocho a veinte átomos de carbono, R' es H o metilo, n es un valor entero promedio de 1 a alrededor de 12 para obtener el producto sulfonatado alcoxilatado teniendo como una cantidad principal del producto alcoxilatado un compuesto de Formula (II); a temperaturas elevadas de por lo menos 125 degree C, una presion suficiente para mantener la masa de reaccion líquida a la temperatura de reaccion y por lo menos 20% en peso de la masa de reaccion como producto sulfonatado.
