Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a controlar la propagación de haz laser,gama operativa y sección transversal de haz en un explorador de código debarras, en donde los componentes ópticos difractivos se emplean paramodificar la amplitud/distribución de fase del haz en el explorador. Elhaz se difracta por una máscara que tiene una pluralidad de aberturas enla forma de segmentos que se disponen a través de la sección transversaldel haz en la vecindad de un lente convergente. Los segmentos sedimensionan y sus funciones de transmisión se eligen (un segmento tienepor ejemplo 100% de transmisión y el otro 50% de transmisión) de maneratal que los códigos de barra cercanos y alejados del explorador están enregiones de difracción de campo lejano de segmentos diferentes, o en dondeestas regiones se traslapan, extendiendo de esta manera la gama operativadel explorador en donde puede resolverse códigos de barras de altadensidad.
