Abstract

Un interruptor (1) para la transferencia de paquete de datos, comprende demanera convencional portillos de entrada (3) y portillos de salida (5) yplanos de conmutación paralelos, que son idénticos entre sí. Elinterruptor o conmutador (1) establece conexiones entre los portillos deentrada (3) y los portillos de salida (5) a través de los planos deconmutación paralelos. En cada portillo de salida (5) existe para cadaplano de conmutación y cada conexión establecida, una memoria intermedia(25) en la que se ajusta por lo menos un paquete de datos. En el portillode salida existe además un dispositivo de selección lógica (29) paraseleccionar los paquetes de datos provenientes del conmutador ointerruptor (1) y desde los planos diferentes de tal manera que unacorriente de paquetes de datos, que es lo más correcta posible, se obtienedesde el portillo de salida, y selecciona en el primer lugar paquetes dedatos provenientes de un plano de conmutación, que es el plano preferidoen cada instante. El dispositivo de selección (29) comprende una unidaddeterminadora de calidad, en cada ocasión determina el plano preferido pormedio de valores de calidad para cada plano. Estos valores de calidad sedeterminan por medio de una evaluación de paquetes de datos previos, quehan llegado al portillo de salida.
