Abstract

Se describe un método para la elaboración de un lente de contacto acabado de visión simple esférico, o bifocal esférico o esférico, multifocal o de adición de progresiva, que incluye el paso de ajustar a un paciente que requiera una corrección cerca, un lente de contacto esférico o esférico de visión simple, para la visión de distancia óptima y ajuste confortable. El paciente es luego sobrerefractado para determinar la corrección cercana requerida, a ser incorporada en el lente de contacto. Una porción del óptico corresponde a la posición central de la pupila es marcada sobre el lado convexo del óptico, para formar una preforma óptica. La preforma óptica es retirada del ojo del paciente y el lado cóncavo de la preforma óptica es marcado en una posición que corresponde a la marca sobre el lado convexo, que denota el centro de la pupila. La marca colocada sobre el lado convexo de la preforma óptica es retirada. Un volumen específico de resina polimerizable es colocado en un molde que incorpora la corrección requerida, la cual incluye una zona de adición de aumento, de modo que la resina llena el espacio entre el molde y la preforma óptica. La zona de adición de aumento es alineada sobre la preforma óptica a una posición predeterminada con respecto a la marca de la preforma óptica, designando el centro de la pupila. La resina es luego polimerizada y la preforma óptica es desmoldada para obtener el lente de contacto acabado, que tiene la corrección requerida.
