Abstract
Métodos y aparatos para controlar la temperatura del aire de un espacio acondicionado a una temperatura seleccionada de punto fijo, utilizado un suministro de criógeno en estados líquido y de vapor. Los dos estados son sacados del suministro y mantenidos en primera y segunda trayectorias de flujo separadas, independientes. El criógeno líquido provee un modo de enfriamiento para el espacio acondicionado por un intercambiador de calor, dispuesto en la primera trayectoria de flujo, y el criógeno vaporizado provee un modo de enfriamiento para el espacio acondicionado por un intercambiador de calor, dispuesto en la segunda trayectoria de flujo. El criógeno que circula en cuando menos, una de las trayectorias de flujo, se usa para impulsar un motor de vapor conectado a un ventilador, con el ventilador moviendo el aire entre el espacio acondicionado y cuando menos, uno de los intercambiadores de calor. Se aplica calor al criógeno, como se requiera, para mantener la temperatura e punto fijo, o para descongelar un intercambiador de calor.
