Abstract

Se hace un cuerpo crudo conformado, adecuado para cocerce para un artículo a base de óxido de circonio, de una forma conformada, mediante (a) el mezclado del hidróxido de circonio y por lo menos un aglutinante para proporcionar una mezcla formable, comprendiendo por lo menos uno de dichos aglutinantes un compuesto de circonio diferente el cual es suceptible de descomponerse térmica a óxido de circonio diferente el cual es suceptible de descomponerse térmicamente a óxido de circonio; y (b) conformar la mezcla formable de manera que después del conocimiento de la misma a una temperatura de cocción mayor que aquella a la cual se convierte dicho compuesto de circonio susceptible de descomponerse térmicamente a óxido de circonio, proporcionará dicho artículo de la forma deseada, a base de óxido de circonio. El artículo cocido tiene aplicación como catalizador, como supercatalizador o como un soporte catalizador. El hidróxido de circonio se seca preferiblemente antes de emplearse y el conformado puede realizarse a través de un extruidor de doble tornillo.
