Abstract

Es crítico para la composición el uso de vanadio en una cantidad aproximadamente desde 0.05 a aproximadamente 0.50 en peso, o de niobio en una cantidad de aproximadamente 0.05 a aproximadamente 0.20 en peso, suficiente nitrógeno para asegurar que el vanadio o el niobio estén en forma de nitruro de vanadio o nitruro de niobio respectivamente y para asegurar la ausencia substancial de aluminio. El nitruro de vanadio o el nitruro niobio asegura la formación de gránulos finos y las propiedades mejoradas. Pueden estar presentes otros componentes incluyendo el carbono, el sílice y el cromo.
