Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso que comprende la etapa de poner en contacto una dispersión acuosa de partículas de polímero hinchadas con un modificador de la reología y un aglutinante para formar una composición de recubrimientos con un VOC menor de 50 g/L. Las partículas de polímero hinchadas surgen de neutralización de partículas de polímero hinchables alcalinas que tienen un alto contenido de núcleo ácido y una cubierta de Tg baja. La composición que surge del proceso de la presente invención es útil para mejorar el tiempo abierto, especialmente para aplicaciones de recubrimientos de VOC bajo.
