Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una técnica para codificar y decodificar una imagen y a un método para codificar la imagen, de acuerdo con la presente invención, comprende los pasos de: llevar a cabo una predicción con respecto a un bloque actual; y transformar un residuo que se genera por la predicción, en donde en el paso de transformación, una primera transformación se lleva a cabo en el residuo y luego una segunda transformación se lleva a cabo en un área de frecuencia inferior y en donde un modo de la segunda transformación puede decidirse sobre la base de un modo de la primera transformación.
