Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una dispersión de pigmento acuosa estable que incluye: un medio acuoso, partículas de pigmento, y de 0.1% a 15%, en peso con base en el peso del pigmento, de un dispersante, el dispersante que incluye: (1) un primer polímero soluble en agua que tiene un índice de acidez de 0 a 80 y un Mn calculado de 450 Dalton a 10,000 Dalton; y 2) un segundo polímero soluble en agua que comprende, como unidades copolimerizadas, desde 30% a 100% en peso, con base en el peso del segundo polímero, monómero de ácido sulfónico, o una sal del mismo; y de 0% a 10% en peso, con base en el peso del segundo polímero, monómero de ácido carboxílico, o una sal del mismo; en donde el segundo polímero tiene un Mn calculado de 1000 a 25,000 Dalton; en donde el dispersante comprende una proporción del primer polímero al segundo polímero de 0.1:1 a 10:1 en una base de sólidos, y el primer polímero y el segundo polímero son miscibles en estas proporciones; y en donde el dispersante está substancialmente libre de unidades estructurales de monómeros de ácido fosfórico y sus sales. La invención también se refiere a un método para formar la dispersión acuosa estable y un revestimiento seco formado a partir de la dispersión acuosa. La dispersión acuosa estable es útil, inter alia, para la formación de ciertas partículas de material compuesto.
