Abstract
Un aparato de bandeja de contacto vapor-líquido que incluye una bandeja que tiene una pluralidad de aberturas para el paso de fluido a través de la bandeja. Las aberturas están dispuestas en un primer grupo de tres filas adyacentes que se extienden sustancialmente paralelas a una trayectoria del flujo de líquido principal de la bandeja. Las aberturas de la fila media están desplazadas a lo largo de la trayectoria del flujo de líquido principal sobre la bandeja respecto a aberturas adyacentes de las otras dos filas para formar un patrón triangular de aberturas adyacentes a través de las tres filas adyacentes. Las aberturas tienen una longitud y un ancho, cada longitud está orientada sustancialmente paralela a su fila y cada ancho están orientado sustancialmente perpendicular a su fila. Los centros de aberturas adyacentes de cada fila están separados por una primera separación que es igual a o entre 2,5 y 4,5 veces la longitud promedio de las aberturas en esa fila. Las filas adyacentes están separadas por una segunda separación que es igual a o entre 1,5 y 2,5 veces el ancho promedio de las aberturas de las filas adyacentes.
