Abstract
Se describe una cámara de goteo que se utiliza en terapia médica de infusión, en donde la cámara de goteo utiliza un sistema de válvula para controlar el flujo de uno o más fluidos a un paciente. La cámara de goteo incluye un cuerpo que forma una cámara, en donde el fluido puede entrar a través de dos o más orificios de flujo, y un orificio de salida, donde el fluido puede salir de la cámara. Un flotador controla el flujo de fluido a través de uno o más orificios de flujo en la cámara de tal forma que el flujo que sale de la cámara se puede limitar a un solo fluido o una combinación de los fluidos que entran a la cámara. El flotador se configura para que se retenga dentro de la cámara, y el flotador se mueve dentro de la cámara con base en un nivel de fluido dentro de la cámara. Las características de control del flotador son determinables al atribuir flotabilidad específica y dimensiones al flotador.
