Abstract

Una transmisión utiliza un embrague unidireccional seleccionable accionado de manera electromagnética. El embrague unidireccional evita la rotación de una pieza de transmisión en ambas direcciones cuando una corriente supera un umbral y, de lo contrario, permite la rotación en una sola dirección. A fin de evitar una conexión involuntaria, un interruptor interrumpe la corriente a menos que una segunda corriente supere un umbral. A fin de conectar el embrague unidireccional, ambas corrientes se establecen por encima de sus umbrales respectivos mediante un controlador. En el caso de una sola falla tal como un cortocircuito, el sistema continúa funcionando normalmente. El controlador puede comprobar de manera periódica si existe una falla estableciendo de forma intencional una corriente por encima de su umbral y la otra por debajo de su umbral y determinar el estado del embrague unidireccional midiendo las velocidades de los elementos de transmisión.
