Abstract
Se describe un proceso y sistema de mejora de bitumen y petróleo pesado para la síntesis de hidrocarburos, un ejemplo de los cuales es el petróleo crudo sintético (SCO). El proceso evita adecuadamente los residuos atribuidos a la formación de relaves y/o coque de petróleo que tiene un efecto dramático en el rendimiento de material de hidrocarburo generado. El proceso integra tecnología Fischer-Tropsch con gasificación y generación de corriente de gas rico en hidrógeno. La generación de gas rico en hidrógeno se efectúa convenientemente usando individualmente o en combinación una fuente de hidrógeno, un vapor rico en hidrógeno a partir de hidroprocesamiento y el proceso Fischer-Tropsch, un reformador de metano con vapor (SMR) y el reformador autotérmico (ATR) o una combinación de SMR/ATR. La materia de alimentación para mejora se destila y la fracción de productos de fondo se gasifica y se convierte en un reactor Fischer-Tropsch. Un gas de síntesis pobre en hidrógeno resultante es luego expuesto a la corriente de gas rico en hidrógeno para optimizar la formación de, por ejemplo, el petróleo crudo sintético.
