Abstract
Una caja de transferencia y transmisión están diseñadas para permitir que el sistema de control hidráulico de la transmisión controle un acoplador de selección de rango y un embrague de par según la demanda en la caja de transferencia. Se transmiten dos circuitos de presión desde la transmisión a la caja de transferencia: un circuito de rango alto y un circuito de rango bajo. El circuito de rango bajo es presurizado para conectar un rango bajo mientras que el circuito de rango es presurizado para conectar rango alto. El embrague de par según la demanda es controlado por cualquiera de estos circuitos que tenga presión más alta. Se proporciona lubricación a una sección delantera de la caja de transferencia a través del eje de salida de transmisión, con el fluido regresando al cárter de transmisión a través de un pasaje de retrodrenaje. La porción trasera de la caja de transferencia tiene un cárter segregado. Se emplea una estrategia de control para llenar parcialmente la sección frontal de la caja de transferencia con el fluido durante la preparación del remolque del vehículo.
