Abstract
Se describen varias modalidades de un aparato y método para configurar un sistema de monitoreo de presión de neumáticos. Un método comprende hacer girar un primer neumático de una pluralidad de neumáticos en un vehículo y recibir una señal indicativa de la velocidad de rotación del primer neumático desde un sensor de velocidad de la rueda asociado con el primer neumático. Un controlador asocia el primer neumático con una ubicación de la rueda en respuesta a recibir la señal desde el sensor de velocidad de la rueda. Un sensor de presión de neumáticos en el primer neumático genera una señal de características del neumático en respuesta a la rotación del primer neumático. El controlador recibe la señal de características del neumático y asocia la señal de características del neumático con la ubicación de la rueda en respuesta a recibir la señal de características del neumático dentro de un período de tiempo predeterminado desde la recepción de la señal indicativa de la velocidad de rotación de la primera rueda.
