Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método para cortar en frío una lámpara (21) que tiene una presión interna que es menor que la presión atmosférica y que contiene un contaminante. Dicho método que incluye: mantener la lámpara en posición; cortar (102) dicha lámpara en por lo menos un punto de corte; antes de cortar, sumergir (110) dicho punto de corte en una composición líquida o pastosa; mantener dicho punto de corte sumergido durante el corte; y aspirar (130) parte de la composición en cada fragmento cortado (26A, 26B). Dicho método se caracteriza esencialmente porque la composición es reo-espesante y tiene una temperatura no menor que el punto de derrame de la misma, antes de la etapa de corte. El método se caracteriza también porque, después del corte, la temperatura de la composición reo-espesante (104) se reduce a una temperatura menor que el punto de derrame de la misma, tal como para aumentar la viscosidad de la misma y crear un tapón hermético.
