Abstract
Se proveen mecanismos para la formación de haces usando un conjunto de antenas que comprende elementos polarizados duales. Un método comprende la generación de uno o dos puertos de haces, en donde los uno o dos puertos de haces se definen mediante la combinación de por lo menos dos subconjuntos no traslapables. Cada subconjunto tiene dos puertos de subconjuntos, los dos puertos de subconjuntos teniendo patrones de potencia idénticos y polarización mutuamente ortogonal. Los por lo menos dos subconjuntos no traslapables se combinan por medio de pesos de expansión. Los pesos de expansión mapean los uno o dos puertos de haces a puertos de subconjuntos de tal manera que los uno o dos puertos de haces tienen el mismo patrón de potencia que los subconjuntos. Por lo menos algunos de los pesos de expansión tienen magnitud diferente de cero idéntica y están relacionados en fase para formar un lóbulo de transmisión. El método comprende la transmisión de señales usando dichos uno o dos puertos de haces.
