Abstract

The present invention relates to a system for removing the pulp and mucilage of a coffee cherry using a steam motor, the system having the advantage of integrating three different processes in a single system. According to the invention, one of the main advantages is that the system operates with a single steam motor, which, in addition to being ecological and less contaminating to the environment, allows the system to operate in places without an electricity supply, the system operating by means of steam generated by a boiler arranged next to the steam motor. Another advantage of the present invention is a copper sleeve system, copper being less damaging to the coffee beans because it is a softer material than conventional materials such as stainless steel, which is located in a drum added to a rack system with four supply streams, and which improves productivity, obtaining a greater quantity of coffee beans in a good state.
