Abstract
De acuerdo con la presente invención, un método de codificación de audio comprende las etapas de: para un espectro de audio, adquirir un envolvente en función de una sub-banda predeterminada; cuantificar el envolvente en función de la sub-banda; y obtener un valor de diferencia entre los envolventes cuantificados de una sub-banda adyacente, y efectuar una codificación sin pérdida en el valor de diferencia de la sub-banda actual utilizando, como un contexto, el valor de diferencia de la sub-banda previa. De acuerdo con la presente invención, podría ser reducido el número de bits utilizado para codificar la información de envolvente de un espectro de audio en un intervalo limitado de bits, con lo cual, se incrementa el número de bits utilizado para la codificación de los actuales componentes de espectro.
