Abstract
Una planta de producción de ácido sulfúrico tiene un absorbente de reserva que opera de manera discontinua para permitir el control de emisiones de azufre en situaciones en donde parte de o incluso toda la planta de producción de ácido sulfúrico está parada, es inoperable, o está comprometida de otra manera. El absorbente de reserva recibe solvente pobre de un tanque de almacenamiento que está configurado de tal manera que es posible la operación continua del absorbente de reserva durante varias horas.
