Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para determinar la potencia de inhibición del inicio de la traducción de una composición que tiene un nivel desconocido de actividad de inhibición del inicio de la traducción que comprende poner en contacto una célula elF2a-WT con dicha composición durante un tiempo y a una temperatura eficaz para inhibir la proliferación de dicha célula, medir el nivel de inhibición de proliferación de dichas células elF2a-WT inducido por dicha muestra y comparar el nivel de inhibición de proliferación inducido por dicha muestra con el nivel de inhibición de proliferación inducido por un estándar que tiene una cantidad conocida de dicha actividad, la cantidad de dicha actividad de inhibición del inicio de la traducción en dicha muestra es proporcional al nivel de inhibición de proliferación de dicha célula elF2a-WT.
