Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método y sistema para generar y reorientar una señal de video tridimensional para usarse en un dispositivo de visualización tridimensional objetivo, en donde la señal de video tridimensional comprende datos de video tridimensional adecuados para orientar un dispositivo de visualización de múltiples vistas y datos de mapeo de disparidad de referencia, los datos de mapeo de disparidad de referencia indicativos de un mapeo de disparidad para los datos de video tridimensional para un dispositivo de visualización tridimensional de referencia y en donde el mapeo de disparidad objetivo se deriva con base en el mapeo de disparidad de referencia y las características del dispositivo de visualización tridimensional de referencia y las características correspondientes del dispositivo de visualización tridimensional objetivo, el mapeo de disparidad objetivo resultante se utiliza para reorientar los datos de video tridimensional utilizando los datos del mapeo de disparidad objetivo en los datos de video tridimensional objetivo.
