Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un dispositivo de refrigeración de la superficie de soporte que comprende: un impulsor de aire; una parte de cubierta configurada para cubrir a un paciente; una parte de soporte colocada entre un paciente y un colchón, en donde la parte de soporte comprende: una primera capa que comprende un material permeable al vapor; una segunda capa que comprende un material separador; y, una tercera capa, en donde: la segunda capa está entre la primera capa y la tercera capa; el impulsor de aire está en comunicación fluida directa con un primer conducto y se configura para crear un flujo de aire a través del material separador hacia el impulsor de aire para refrigerar un paciente soportado sobre la parte de soporte y cubierto por la parte de cubierta; y, un segundo conducto en comunicación fluida directa con el impulsor de aire y un espacio de aire entre una superficie superior de la parte de soporte y una superficie inferior de la parte de cubierta de tal forma que arrastre la parte de cubierta hacia el paciente y la parte de soporte.
