Abstract

Una composición que comprende un polietileno de baja densidad (LDPE) y un polietileno de baja densidad lineal catalizado con metaloceno (mLLDPE) en donde la composición cuando se extruye como una resina fundida despliega un valor dentro del cuello que es aproximadamente igual a o mayor por menos de aproximadamente 10% del valor dentro de cuello observado cuando se usa el LDPE solo. Un método que comprende mezclar un LDPE y un mLLDPE de esta descripción para formar una mezcla de polímero que tiene un factor de miscibilidad de 1; extruir la mezcla de polímero sobre un sustrato en donde la mezcla de polímero extruido tiene un valor dentro de cuello que es aproximadamente igual a o mayor por menos de aproximadamente 10% del valor dentro de cuello observado cuando se usa el LDPE solo y en donde una cantidad de residuos de recorte producidos es igual a o aproximadamente 10% menos residuos de recorte que la cantidad de residuos de recorte producidos cuando se utiliza un recubrimiento de extrusión usando LDPE solo.
