Abstract

Se proporcionan planteamientos para procesos de transferencia eficiente, dinámica y continua, que abarcan la selección de una ruta óptima (que consiste de un satélite, un haz de satélites y un conjunto de frecuencias portadoras) sobre la cual se comunica una terminal de usuario (UT) móvil con la red de radio-acceso en un sistema móvil de comunicación satelital. Un conjunto de factores de ruta se determinan con respecto a cada una de una pluralidad de rutas de comunicación para la UT. Se determina una métrica de selección de ruta (PSM) para cada ruta de comunicación mediante un cálculo ponderado con base al conjunto respectivo de los factores de ruta para la ruta de comunicación. Se hace una decisión con respecto a la realización de una transferencia para la UT desde una primera de las rutas de comunicación a una segunda de las rutas de comunicación, en donde la determinación se basa en una evaluación realizada con base al menos en parte en la PSM.
