Abstract
Se proporciona un aparato de proyección de imágenes de luz polarizada. En una modalidad, el aparato consta de una fuente de luz para producir haces de luz; una óptica de iluminación en conjunto con la fuente de luz para dirigir los haces de la luz hacia la muestra; un polarizador lineal en conjunto con la óptica de iluminación y configurado para producir una luz linealmente polarizada hacia la muestra respectiva de los haces de luz; un prisma polarizante birrefrigente (BPP) TIR acoplado a la muestra para maximizar una diferencia de refracción entre las ondas ordinarias y las ondas extraordinarias de luz que devuelve la muestra hacia un elemento de sensor sensible a la polarización simple (SE), el SE está configurado para capturar al menos un fotograma de la muestra respectiva de las ondas de luz que devuelve la capa superficial de dispersión simple de la muestra aparte de la capa difusa más profunda.
