Un horno reformador (1), que comprende: por lo menos un ensamble de conducto triple (200), que incluye un conducto de gases de combustión (220) que encierra un conducto de reacción (240) que encierra un conducto de producto gaseoso (260), en donde: el conducto de reacción (240) se extiende entre un extremo inferior (244) que define una entrada de gas de reacción (245), y un extremo superior cerrado (242); el conducto de producto gaseoso (260) se extiende entre un extremo superior (262) que define una entrada de producto gaseoso (263), y un extremo inferior (264) que define una salida de producto gaseoso (265); el conducto del gases de combustión (220) se extiende entre un extremo superior (222) que define una entrada de gases de combustión (223), y un extremo inferior (224) que define una salida de gases de combustión (225); y un anillo (250) entre el conducto de reacción (240) y el conducto de producto gaseoso (260) que comprende un catalizador (252); una cámara de combustión (100) que encierra una mitad superior aproximada (226, 246, 266) del por lo menos un ensamble de conducto triple (200) mientras una mitad inferior aproximada (228, 248, 268) del mismo reside fuera de y debajo de la cámara de combustión, y que incluye por lo menos un quemador (110), dispuesto dentro de la cámara de combustión y fuera del conducto de gases de combustión (220), de manera que la mitad superior aproximada (226) del conducto de gases de combustión sustancialmente protege el conducto de reacción (240) de la radiación y golpe directo de calor de la flama del quemador.
