Abstract
Se divulga un dispositivo de autenticación (10) para autenticar una marca de seguridad luminiscente, el dispositivo comprende: una fuente de iluminación (30) configurada para irradiar la marca de seguridad con un pulso de radiación de excitación para causar que la marca de seguridad emita radiación luminiscente que decae con el tiempo; un detector de radiación configurado para detectar la radiación luminiscente emitida por la marca de seguridad; y una guía de onda óptica (22) posicionada en relación con la fuente de iluminación (30) y el detector de radiación y configurada para guiar por medio de reflexión interna tanto la radiación de excitación emitida desde la fuente de iluminación hacia la marca de seguridad como la radiación luminiscente emitida por la marca de seguridad hacia el detector de radiación.
