Abstract
Un encabezado de unidad de NAL en el método convencional no es eficiente, aún en casos en donde un valor de nal_ref_flag es determinado de manera única de acuerdo con un valor de nal_unit_type, puesto que bits respectivos son asignados a nal_ref_flag y nal_unit_type. Una solución a este problema es un dispositivo de codificación predictivo de video provisto con un dispositivo de entrada para introducir imágenes que forman una secuencia de video, y una unidad de codificación para codificar las imágenes ya sea mediante intra-predicción o inter-predicción para generar datos de imagen comprimidos y para empaquetar los datos de imagen comprimidos junto con información de encabezado del paquete. La información de encabezado del paquete contiene un tipo de imagen y en donde la unidad de codificación determina el tipo de imagen para indicar de manera única si los datos de imagen codificados son usados por referencia en la descodificación de otra imagen. Se debe hacer referencia a la Figura 1.
