Abstract
Un sistema (10) para activar una bomba (20) incluye un motor de turbina de gas (14) que tiene un eje de salida (30) y un convertidor de torsión (18) que incluye un eje de entrada (36) acoplado al eje de salida del motor de turbina de gas y un eje de salida (38) configurado para estar acoplado a un eje de entrada (40) de una bomba; el sistema incluye además un controlador acoplado (42) al convertidor de torsión, en donde el controlador está configurado para recibir una señal indicadora de una presión en por lo menos una de la entrada de bomba (22) y la salida (24) de bomba, y controlar una velocidad del eje de salida del convertidor de torsión con base en la señal indicadora de presión.
