Abstract

Procedimiento de validación biométrica que se inicia cuando una persona a ser identificada realiza la petición de autenticación biométrica introduciendo su PIN en un dispositivo electrónico. La petición se realiza a través de una central de autorización a la que se envía tanto el PIN introducido como el código que identifica al dispositivo de captura y codificación de huella dactilar a ser activado. Al recibir dicha información desde dicha central se envía la petición de activación al dispositivo de captura y codificación de la huella digital. Una vez capturada la huella, se obtiene un témplate de la misma que se cifra y se envía a la central donde se coteja con los templates de referencia. La central envía entonces una señal positiva o negativa de la autenticación correspondiente a quien la solicitó. Este procedimiento permite realizar la validación biométrica gracias a un terminal biométrico dotado de medios para comunicarse directamente con la central sin instalar ningún hardware ni software adicional en el dispositivo electrónico que requiere la identificación biométrica.
