Abstract

Se describe un método para quitar la energía fantasma de datos de traza sísmica marinos. Una traza sísmica de referencia y una traza sísmica candidato se seleccionan de los datos sísmicos adquiridos. Los datos sísmicos adquiridos se reúnen utilizando una configuración en donde tanto una primera serpentina como una segunda serpentina se disponen a diferentes profundidades con relación una a la otra y están lateralmente desviadas con relación una a la otra, o utilizando una configuración en donde una primera fuente y una segunda fuente están dispuestas a diferentes profundidades con relación una a la otra y están lateralmente desviadas una a la otra. La traza sísmica de referencia y la traza sísmica candidato se procesan, por ejemplo, para realizar una corrección de movimiento normal y/o desplazamiento de dato vertical, y a la traza sísmica de referencia procesada se le quita la energía fantasma utilizando la traza sísmica candidato, procesada.
