Abstract
Se describen sistemas de cómputo y métodos realizados mediante los sistemas de cómputo para determinar la desviación de profundidad de cable marino durante los experimentos de exploración sismológica; una embarcación de exploración sismológica arrastra una cantidad de cables marinos que forman una superficie de adquisición de datos suavemente variables localizada debajo de una superficie de fluidos; en un aspecto de la presente descripción, el método determina un grupo de puntos de imagen que representa un perfil de la superficie de fluido sobre cada cable marino; los puntos de imagen son determinados con base en los campos de onda de presión y velocidad medidos en sensores duales del cable marino; el método determina entonces un parámetro de elevación de los puntos de imagen que reduce al mínimo la compensación DC en un dominio espectral de los puntos de imagen; el parámetro de elevación corresponde a la desviación de profundidad del cable marino y se puede utilizar para corregir la desviación de profundidad del cable marino en cálculos subsiguientes de un perfil de superficie de fluido.
