Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimineto mejorado para preparar un poliuretano en el que se endurece un prepolímero de poliuretano terminado en isocianato, caracterizado en que se incorpora en un exceso del prepolímero un reactivo que es un material biológico seleccionado de uno o más de (a) una proteína, (b) una coenzima que tiene cuando menos un grupo de amino primario o secundario por mólecula; (c) una enzima, junto con una coenzima; y (d) un antibiótico que no contiene proteína que tiene cuando menos un grupo amino primario o secundario por mólecula cuyo exceso molar de grupos de isocianato en el prepolímero de poliuretano sobre los grupos de amino del material biológico que son reactivoscon los grupos de isocianato, con lo que se forma una mezcla resultante; y endurecer la mezcla resultante para espumarla y poniéndola en contacto con 0.5 a 3 partes en peso de agua por parte del peso total del prepolímero más el reactante, o sin espumar usando cerca de una cantidad estequiométrica de agua o al menos una cantidad estequiométrica de amina con respecto a los grupos HCO, y la mezcla resultante se conforma antes de endurecerse, cuando menos cuando los reactivos consisten de una proteína, en un artículo autosoportado o en una película soporta.The present invention relates to an improved process for preparing a polyurethane in which an isocyanate terminated polyurethane prepolymer is cured, characterized in that a reagent which is a biological material selected from one or more of a) a protein, (b) a coenzyme having at least one primary or secondary amino group per molecule; (c) an enzyme, along with a coenzyme; and (d) a non-protein containing antibiotic having at least one primary or secondary amino group per molecule whose molar excess of isocyanate groups in the polyurethane prepolymer over the amino groups of the biological material that are reactive with the isocyanate groups, whereupon a resulting mixture is formed; and hardening the resulting mixture to foam it and contacting it with 0.5 to 3 parts by weight of water per part of the total weight of the prepolymer plus the reactant, or without foam using close to a stoichiometric amount of water or at least a stoichiometric amount of amine with respect to HCO groups, and the resulting mixture is formed before hardening, at least when the reagents consist of a protein, a self-supporting article or a supporting film.
