Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición para usarse como un prebiótico, en donde el prebiótico incrementa selectivamente el crecimiento de las bifidobacterias, la composición comprende un polisacárido de soja soluble en agua, en donde el polisacárido de soja soluble en agua comprende un contenido de ácido galacturónico inferior a 40% mol, de manera preferente inferior a 30% mol y un contenido de azúcar neutro (cadena laterales) mayor de 40% mol, de manera preferente mayor de 50% mol, y en donde la composición está adaptada para ser consumible por un humano en una cantidad de por lo menos 2g de polisacárido de soja soluble en agua por día.
