Abstract

En la presente, se describen las modalidades de un sistema para generar dióxido de cloro; el sistema comúnmente incluye un reactor que tiene un volumen de rector en el cual el ácido sulfúrico y el clorito de sodio se suministran de acuerdo con la Fórmula 1: (C1)(F1) = C2, en donde F1 = caudal de suministro de clorito de sodio a por lo menos un reactor, volumen/tiempo, C1 = cantidad de ClO2 producido por cantidad de clorito de sodio suministrado al reactor; y cantidad/tiempo de salida de C2 = ClO2; y en donde dicho volumen de reactor y F1 son tales como para proporcionar un tiempo de contacto entre el agente acidificante y el clorito de sodio en la escala de aproximadamente 0.5 a aproximadamente 30 minutos.
