Abstract
Un método para determinar la existencia de una fractura en una formación que rodea un hoyo perforado a través de formaciones rocosas de subsuperficie incluye calcular la resistividad vertical, la resistividad horizontal, la inclinación de formación aparente, el azimut de formación aparente y la resistividad axial para una pluralidad de separaciones longitudinales del instrumento usando las mediciones de un instrumento de registro de pozo de inducción triaxiales dispuesto en la formación. Se determina una propagación en los valores de resistividad axiales y el umbral de propagación de resistividad axial del mismo. La presencia de una fractura se indica cuando al menos un valor de indicador de fractura sobrepasa un umbral seleccionado, la propagación de resistividad axial sobrepasa el umbral de propagación y cuando la inclinación de formación aparente sobrepasa un umbral seleccionado.
