Abstract
Un método de modificación de la permeabilidad de agua de una formación subterránea que comprende inyectar dentro del yacimiento subterráneo una composición acuosa que comprende de aproximadamente 0.005 por ciento a aproximadamente 2 por ciento en peso de un polihidroxieteramina ramificada de alquilo o de óxido alquileno o una sal de la misma, en donde la polihidroxieteramina ramificada del alquilo graso o de óxido alquileno es preparada por la reacción con a) una o más aminas con funcionalidad de alquilo graso o de óxido alquileno o una mezcla de una o más aminas con funcionalidad de óxido de alquileno y b) una o más aminas que tienen dos átomos de hidrógeno reactivo; y c) opcionalmente la reacción de la polihidroxieteramina resultante con un ácido o agente de alquilación para formar la sal.
