Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en procedimiento para preparar un conductor eléctrico de una aleación a base de aluminio, rsistente al calor, que tiene una conductividad eléctrica mínima de 61 por ciento según la norma IAOS, caracterizadas porque se hace una aleación de más de 0.20 por ciento a 1.00 por ciento en peso de silicio, de 0.10 por ciento a 0.95 por ciento en peso de hiero y el resto de aluminio conteniendo elementos trazas seleccionados del grupo compuesto por cobre, manganeso, magnesio, titanio, vanadio y zinc, en donde las concentraciones individuales de los citados elementos trazas no exceden el 0.05 por ciento en peso y las concentraciones totales de los elementos trazas no exceden el 0.05 por ciento en peso y las concentraciones totales de los elementos trazas no exceden el 0.15 por ciento en peso; posteriormente se vacía la aleación en un molde en movimiento formado entre una ranura de la periferia de una rueda vaciadora giratoria y una banda metálica situada en posición adyacente a la ranura por una sección de su longitud para formar una barra de aleación a base de aluminio, de tipo contínuo, que tiene precipitados intermetálicos de hierro-aluminio-silicio formados en su interior; y después se lamina en caliente la barra contínua substancialmente de una manera inmediata después del vaciado en tanto que la barra se encuentra substancialmente en aquélla condición de tipo fundido para formar una varilla contínua, en donde la operación de laminado rompe y dispersa en forma igual los precipitados por toda la matriz del aluminio para formar partículas de precipitados con un diámetro menor de una micra cuando se mida a lo largo del eje transversal de las partículas.
