Abstract

La invención se refiere a un proceso para remover CO2 de un gas que contiene metano, que tiene los pasos de proporcionar un gas que contiene metano (103) que contiene al menos CO2 como impureza, enfriar el gas (103) para eliminar el CO2 del gas que contiene metano (103) mediante su congelación y reducir adicionalmente la concentración de CO2 del gas (103) utilizando un aparato de adsorción por cambio de presión y temperatura (PTSA) (111), mediante lo cual se obtiene un producto de gas enriquecido con metano (117). A continuación, al menos una porción (127) del producto de gas (117) se utiliza como gas de tratamiento (129) y se hace pasar a través del PTSA (111) para su tratamiento, en donde el CO2 es absorbido por el gas de tratamiento (129) y se extrae del PTSA (111) como gas de tratamiento (133) enriquecido con CO2. El gas de tratamiento (133) se recicla después y se mezcla con el gas que contiene metano (103).
