Abstract
Una preforma hueca extruida por impacto de un lingote de metal para producir una pared progresiva en un espesor de la pared de transición. Una porción delantera axialmente de la pared progresiva se plancha mediante extrusión pasando por un punto de extrusión para formar una porción de la pared lateral de un espesor menor. La extrusión se detiene mientras que algo del lingote permanece para formar el extremo inferior cerrado. La preforma tiene una porción inferior, una porción de la pared lateral y una porción de la pared de transición que se extiende entre la porción inferior y la porción de la pared lateral.
