Abstract
Un proceso para la producción de biuret a partir de urea en donde: una solución acuosa de urea (24) extraída de la sección de recuperación de una planta de urea se procesa para eliminar el agua y obtener una masa fundida de urea concentrada (25); dicha masa fundida de urea se procesa en condiciones de formación de biuret para descomponer la urea en biuret y amoníaco y obtener una masa fundida de urea con alto contenido de biuret (26); dicha masa fundida de urea con alto contenido de biuret (26) se diluye con agua o con una corriente acuosa obteniéndose una solución (28); la solución (28) se somete a cristalización y precipitación de una fase sólida que contiene biuret la cual se se separa de la fase acuosa.
