Abstract
Una lente implantable o portable para uso oftálmico, que tiene una superficie frontal y una superficie posterior, en donde por lo menos una superficie de dicha superficie frontal y superficie posterior tiene un perfil refractivo asférico con simetría circular o rotacional, o con simetría cilíndrica o no rotacional, con respecto al eje óptico, y que tiene una elevación geométrica z(r) definida por una expansión en serie de polinomios de Forbes, en donde dicho perfil refractivo genera un aumento del frente de onda W(r) que emerge de la lente a modo de extender la profundidad de campo de la misma progresiva y continuamente en un intervalo de potencia entre -1.0D y 4.0D.
