Abstract

En un aspecto, se proporciona un sistema de torre de enfriamiento que incluye un intercambiador de calor evaporativo, un sensor configurado para detectar un parámetro del líquido evaporativo distribuido en el intercambiador de calor evaporativo, y un sistema de tratamiento de líquido evaporativo; el sistema de torre de enfriamiento incluye adicionalmente un controlador que tiene un modo de operación normal en donde el controlador hace funcionar el sistema de tratamiento de líquido evaporativo para tratar el líquido evaporativo tras determinar que la calidad del líquido evaporativo es inadecuada, con base por lo menos en parte en el parámetro del líquido evaporativo; el controlador tiene un modo de operación a prueba de fallos en donde el controlador cambia la operación de la torre de enfriamiento tras determinar que la operación del sistema de tratamiento de líquido evaporativo es incapaz de remediar la calidad inadecuada del líquido evaporativo.
