Abstract

En el presente documento se describen métodos para preparar alcoholes terciarios a partir de una fenilcetona opcionalmente sustituida o una piridinilcetona opcionalmente sustituida que incluye el uso de un ligando quiral y dietil eterato de trifluoruro de boro. Los alcoholes terciarios se pueden utilizar para preparar versiones sintéticas de productos naturales y/o farmacéuticos.
