Abstract
Un método para inspeccionar componentes metálicos de contenedor (10) provee indexación de un componente de contenedor (10) producido de un material metálico en alineación axial con una sonda (110). Una corriente de Foucault (188) se desarrolla en el componente de contenedor (10) en respuesta al primer campo magnético (184). Se genera un segundo campo magnético (192) en respuesta a la corriente de Foucault (188). Se miden cambios en amplitud de impedancia y ángulo de fase en la bobina (176). Se hace una determinación de la idoneidad para uso del componente de contenedor (10) en base a los cambios medidos en la amplitud de impedancia y ángulo de fase en la bobina (176).
