Abstract

Se proveen sistemas y métodos para detectar un evento dentro de un área monitoreada. Un transmisor emite una señal de interrogación de RF al área monitoreada. Un objetivo de RF colocado dentro del área monitoreada refleja la señal de interrogación como una señal objetivo, cuando la señal de interrogación incide sobre el objetivo de RF. El objetivo de RF tiene un interruptor accionable por un usuario entre un estado de conmutación en el cual el objetivo de RF opera en un primer estado de reflexión y un estado de conmutación en el cual el objetivo de radiofrecuencia opera en un segundo estado de reflexión. Un receptor recibe la señal objetivo del objetivo de RF. En base a la señal objetivo recibida por el receptor, un procesador puede detectar una indicación del estado de reflexión en el cual está operando el objetivo de RF. El procesador activa una acción en respuesta a la indicación del estado reflexivo en el cual está operando el objetivo de RF.
